This is the second phase of work begun by YourLandscaping in 2013 (see the project 'Perimeter Garden'). The boulder retaining walls and earthbanks were already in place before Christmas ready for the building of hardwood timber-clad concrete seating and a large concrete firepit.

 

The whole area was paved in slabs to match the paving around the house and finally a glass & steel screen was installed to complete the contemporary feel. Plants were added to the surrounding beds, which will in time fill out and add to the feel of cosy seclusion away from the house.

 

When not in use, a hardwood cover converts the firepit to a large table top or additional seating.
