Swirling path

The owner of this garden wanted to extend the inadequately paved area in front of the patio doors, alongside softening the hard edges of the gravel path, and extending it to the decked area. In addition, a children's play area was created continuing the curved motif.

Paving bricks set upright in mortar allowed the 'swirling'  lines to be achieved, form the edge to the paved patio, and enclose two small raised flower beds. The circular play areas contain a large ring of bark play-chips under the swing, along with a sand pit, and deeper ring to be filled with plastic play balls in the spring.
