Split-level stonework

This project required the demolishing of old stone walling and the creation of a flatter parking area. The levelling created a secondary terrace along with the need for a new set of stone steps. The original stone was re-used throughout, and the Caithness slate redistributed to give a more consistent look to the build.
After the stone was cleaned up by pressure-washing, the border at the top of the wall was planted with alpines and perennials to eventually fill out and inhabit many of the wall’s crevices.
YourLandscaping will return in the Spring to pave the terraces with natural stone slabs.
